Nails of the Week: Vintage Couture

So, I ended my long day with a spontaneous trip to the nail salon, courtesy of my mommy! I went in there with no intentions to get anything done to my nails, but my mommy insisted. I couldn't say no, lol. And I must say it was well worth it. I forgot to mention that I just ADORE nail polish!! My nails HAVE to stay polished because it always makes me feel like a lady. While at the nail salon, I came across this pretty pale pink color. I instantly fell in love! It’s called Vintage Couture by Color Club ®. It’s like a pastel pink color. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get a picture of the actual bottle but I found some online. Check it out! Tell me what you think.

I can’t stop staring at my nails. I told myself I have to find this color so I can polish my nails myself all the time. I admit I was a little hurt when I found out that we are not allowed to wear outrageous nail polish colors for the duration of my Nursing program. How devastating, right?! I’ll be specific: we can wear nail polish, but only neutral colors. Neutral just screams B-O-R-I-N-G to me! With that in mind, I told myself I will not wear any neutral colored nail polish for as long as I can get away with it. Honestly, I’ll see what my Instructor says about it tomorrow in class; if she even notices it. I’ll tell you about it later.

Blabbering: About the Author

My name is My'Til, which is pronounced My-Teal. I live in Atlanta, Georgia and I am 22 years old. My birthday is October 3rd, 1989. My favorite color is pink! I am the second oldest of 3 girls. My oldest sister is LaTosha (the mother of my beautiful niece Atira) and my baby sister is Shan. I adore them with my whole heart!

Almost 5 years ago I experienced the worst heartbreak ever! My daddy sadly passed away during the first semester of my senior year of high school. It was extremely hard to deal with and it still is. He was the BEST! There are hard days and even harder days, but I manage to get through them with the help of my sisters and my mommy. My niece plays a big part too, because she looks just like him, and even acts like him sometimes. It's crazy because they've never even met but she reminds me so much of him.

My mommy (yes, I still call her mommy; don't judge) is the epitome of Heaven sent. She is an inspiration to me and I love her dearly!

I am a proud member of Team Natural! **Pause, when I say "natural" I mean no relaxer, I still use heat on my hair.** My last relaxer was November of 2010 (almost 2 years this year). About 5 months ago was the last time I ate chicken. Weird? I know. I'm not a vegetarian, I just prefer to not eat chicken of beef. I can't seem to part with pork just yet because I absolutely LOOOOOOOOVE bacon!! If I had to choose, I would pick seafood over any other meat in the entire world.

I am currently in school to obtain my diploma as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). My program is only 12 months long and I have 10 months to go; graduation is scheduled for July 2013! Pray for me b/c it's A LOT of work!! I apologize in advice if I don't blog as much as I would like. I just have so much work to do. Luckily, I have a set of classes that are 10 weeks long, then I get a week off before the next set of classes begin. So, during that entire week off I will most definitely blog EVERY single day :) Although I am enrolled in Nursing school, my passion is Fashion. I love everything about it! I dream of owning my own boutique that showcases high-end fashion at everyday prices. I believe it pays to be beautiful but it shouldn't cost a fortune. After graduating from my Nursing program I plan to move to California to pursue my dreams of becoming a boutique owner.

Color of the Month: Mint Green

Happy Thursday ladies!! Now, let's get right to business. I know I'm not the only one in the world that is really feeling this mint green color. Am I? It's just a really beautiful color to me and I would say it's "IN" for the summer. It comes in a variety of colors. I actually have this very color on my nails right now. I think I'm a little obsessed with it! (Don't judge me lol). The mint green color has been a favorite of 2012 since the beginning of Spring.
